UTSA Graduates First Students from Groundbreaking M.D./M.S. in AI Program

M.S. in AI curriculum developed by renowned UTSA scholar Dhireesha Kudithipudi
Aaron Fanous and Eri Osta have become the first graduates of the nation's pioneering dual degree program in medicine and artificial intelligence, a joint effort by UT Health San Antonio and UTSA.
Launched in 2023, the program trains future physicians to integrate AI in healthcare, enhancing patient care and streamlining administrative tasks.
Fanous' capstone project focused on developing an AI model for generating optimized radiology reports from images.
