Jason will also share examples how each tool has been used within his concert visuals and various experiments using 3D animation, video compositing, and siphoning renders from one AI tool into another AI tool

Texas Leads the Way in AI Education Revolution

Texas is at the forefront of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into higher education.

The University of Texas at San Antonio announcing plans to launch a pioneering college dedicated to AI, cybersecurity, computing, and data science by fall 2025. This initiative addresses the urgent demand for AI competence across various industries, acknowledging a projected 27% increase in AI and data science jobs in Texas over the next decade.

The state's higher education institutions are not only focusing on creating new programs and degrees to equip students with necessary AI skills but are also ensuring faculty are supported and up-to-date with this rapidly advancing technology.

Navigating the Ethical Landscape of AI at SXSW 2024

The 2024 SXSW Conference showcased the latest in Artificial Intelligence (AI), focusing on both its advancements and the ethical questions it raises:

  • AI in the Spotlight: Highlighting AI-generated content, self-driving cars, and more.

  • Human vs. AI Tasks: Discussions differentiated tasks suited for AI (e.g., data organization, code writing) from those better suited for humans (e.g., creative work, decision-making).

  • Combating Deepfakes: Reality Defender's session emphasized the need for AI-based tools to detect deepfakes and combat fraud, particularly in voice cloning.
