GenAI World Conference Comes to Austin - How to Plug In 🔌🔥

AITX Team here. We’re back again to share upcoming events, opportunities, and news on AI in Austin. This week, Austin is hosting the MLOps and Generative AI World Summit (if you haven’t yet signed up to attend, use code AITX25 for $25 off), and it’s filling the city with top ML engineers. In addition to our normal update with ways to plug in, this month’s update will feature some of the top events and activities surrounding the conference.

This month’s newsletter contains 7 upcoming ATX AI Events, 5 open ATX-based AI job opportunities, 4 updates on ATX’s AI Startup ecosystem, and 5 ATX AI community stories.

Here are 3 ways you can plug in to the local AI Community this month:

  1. Submit your startup to ATX DAO’s annual Pitch Competition This year, AITX has partnered with ATX DAO to power their AI Track. In addition to exposure to potential customers and investors, all semifinalists will receive 1<>1 mentorship, curated intros, and an invitation to a VIP Happy Hour with judges and other semifinalists. Submit your startup here!

  2. Join the Machine Learning Mixer at The Roaring Fork with Outerbounds. Attendees will discuss production machine learning, LLMs, and foundation models, all while soaking in the panoramic views of Quarry Lake.

  3. Sign up for Entre’s AI Career Fair. Entre is an Austin-based professional networking platform that’s partnered with Big Brain, the largest AI careers newsletter in the world, to host these career fairs once per month.

Announcements

Thank you to all the folks who came out to our September AITX event! Tomorrow’s October meetup will remain in Capital Factory’s main event space on the 1st floor, Voltron. Pizza will be provided! 🍕🙏

Our big announcement for this month is that AITX has partnered with ATX DAO as their AI Community Partner for their upcoming Annual Pitch Competition. ATX DAO is a community organization dedicated to advancing new technologies in Austin - whether that’s Web3 or AI. This year their pitch competition will include a Fintech and AI track and their program is impressive. In addition to great exposure, the top applicants will receive 1<>1 mentorship with industry operators, curated intros to investors, and an invite to a VIP mixer with judges, operators, and other founders.

Lots of awesome founders have attended our monthly meetup and would be top candidates. If you’re interested to learn more, find Jake O’Shea at tomorrow night’s October meetup.

We’ll be hosting demos again at the October meetup, if you’d like to present just respond to this email and share a summary of your project and how the group can help (your ask).

    • What: There have been many exciting new announcements in the Google Cloud Data portfolio, especially around Generative AI. Come and join us to learn about the new announcements and features in BigQuery that are powered by Generative AI.

      We're excited for this session and to learn about the ways that these new announcements might affect how you use BigQuery today on November 16th.
